Watch the Lamb (Ray Boltz)

As we head into Good Friday, let’s Watch the Lamb.

Let’s remember Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, who died for us. Let’s remember His love and sacrifice for a sinful dying world that had no hope of saving itself.

This song is written by Ray Boltz and the lyrics reflect the view of Simon of Cyrene who was just a on-looker at Jesus’ crucifixion. Simon was ordered to help carry the cross for Jesus who was physically weak. We are all like Simon, carrying our cross because of our sins but Jesus died for us instead. What wonderful love!

1 Peter 2:24

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

  1. Hi Seth! THANKS SOOOOO much for posting this!! I’ve heard the song but never saw the video! Just posted it. Another song I love, and I’m gonna try to find the video for, is Man of the Tombs! For some odd reason, that song always makes me cry.

    1. Hi Gillian, thanks! Hope you had a good Easter celebration. I’ve not heard of Man of the Tombs, will check it out. Truly, a gem of a song. Could be a nice church skit too.

      1. Hi Seth;

        It’s a lovely song! I THINK the songwriter/artist’s name is Bob Bennett. It’s performed on accoustic guitar.
        Re: Watch the Lamb as a church skit. For sure!

Tell me what you think.
